Bertram Derthona's start of great intensity and energy in the match against Venezia: the attacking rebounding presence guarantees extra possessions which are converted regularly. At 10' the score was 17-11. In the second period, Umana improved its level in both halves of the pitch, first reducing the gap and then overtaking in the closing stages of the first half: at half-time the visitors were ahead 36-38.

Upon returning from the locker rooms, the team coached by De Raffaele tries to push the game forward, reaching a 7-point margin (40-47), before the return of Derthona, led by Macura and Wright: in the 30th minute the score is 50 -54. In the last quarter Bertram fielded an airtight defense, which forced Reyer to score just 11 points: from here she found extra energy in the offensive half of the field to extend. The decisive break, opened by a gust from Filloy, then sees all the players used by coach Ramondino as protagonists. At the final siren Derthona won 77-65.

Thus coach Marco Ramondino at the end of the race: ʺIt was a very good match for us apart from some mistakes in the first part of the match, which however did not prevent us from having good rhythm and presence. Limiting unforced errors allows us to find continuity. Our boys are excellent for altruism, there is a willingness to look for each other and find a better solution: I want to thank them for the great dedication they are putting in, because the last two months have been complicated for us due to some ailments that make the days non-linear and training is not easy. This match was of good quality on both sides of the pitch. The team today did everything they had to, throughout the match they were very present doing the right things: having removed this flaw allowed us to get the most out of the match we were playing. Having scored 19 two-pointers in a low-scoring game, for a roster that relies heavily on three-point shooting, was important. In defense there was a great effort from both the wingers in containing their 1v1s and from the big men, because Austin Daye didn't have many open views after having widened the fieldʺ.
