Bertram Derthona won with full merit, without captain Tavernelli and Macura, controlling the match with Trento from the opening minutes and progressively extending their margin until the siren. A high-level defensive performance and five players in double figures lead the team coached by coach Ramondino to success, a good start in view of the match on Thursday 17 February against Allianz Trieste, quarter-final of the Frecciarossa Final Eight 2022.

A high-level first quarter for Bertram, who imposes her own rhythm right from the tap-off and produces two important partials to dig the first furrow in the score: at 10' the team coached by Ramondino is ahead 22-14. In the second period Derthona further raises the level of its defense, alternates individual and collective solutions in attack and increases its margin: at half-time the score is 38-25.

Upon returning from the locker rooms, Trento closed the gap to within two possessions, before suffering a new important acceleration from Bertram, driven by the plays of Cannon and Mascolo, who updated their maximum advantage (59-40) at the end of the third period with Daum's basket. In the last quarter the match maintained the same leitmotif as the first thirty minutes, with Derthona further expanding its margin and winning 76-50. At the end, Ognjen Miljkovic made his debut in the black and white jersey.

Thus the assistant coach Massimo Galli at the end of the race: ʺIt was a very solid match especially in defence, despite the absences there was great application. Keeping Trento at 50 points is a great result that gives us confidence for the rest of the season. Tavernelli had a muscle problem, Macura has a very bad dermatitis which prevented him from playing: we hope to recover both for Thursday's match in the Italian Cup. With two players missing, the motivations of those who replaced them were of a high level, this desire to sacrifice themselves in difficult situations is an added value for any team. We came from two defeats, this is a great victory because the team came together and put in a great performance. This year, when we had some absences, all the players were ready: this helps us to play with great confidence and determinationʺ.
