Two years of great common results: thank you JP Macura, Leone forever
Bertram Derthona announces that he has exercised the option to exit the contract JP Macura, who will not wear the black and white jersey next season. JP, one of the great symbols of the Club's first two years of Serie A, a player capable of immediately winning the affection of the public with his play and his energy on the pitch, will remain a Lion forever.
Arriving in Tortona in the summer of 2021, Macura took to the pitch in 79 games - across all competitions - wearing the Club's number 55 jersey, scoring 1037 points in total: JP is, at the moment, the most prolific player in the history of the club. Clubs among all Serie A competitions.
The 23 points scored against Trieste and the 18 against Virtus Segafredo Bologna at the Final Eight of the 2022 Italian Cup will remain unforgettable in the memory of the Club and the fans: two ballistic performances that guided the team until the final act of the event. Just like the 22 points scored this year, on January 7, in the home match against Virtus Segafredo Bologna, one of the most beautiful and exciting nights spent in a sold out PalaEnergica full of affection. Macura scored ten or more points in 56 games, scoring at least 15 points 20 times.
The Club, at the end of two years enriched by great results, would like to thank JP for his commitment in the two years spent in Tortona and wishes him the best of luck for the next stages of his career.
