Derthona and BCC Derthona again alongside Just The Woman I Am
A partnership with a strong social value that is profitable and long-lasting, that between Derthona e BCC Derthona Basketball e Just The Woman I Am, which is also renewed for the 2024 edition of the non-competitive 5 km walking race which aims to raise funds for university research on cancer, promotes prevention, correct lifestyles, inclusion and equality of type.
Just The Woman I Am is an event born in 2014 from the collaboration between Cus Torino, in collaboration with the University and Polytechnic of Turin and took place both in presence in Turin and in Virtual mode over the years. The walking race, in the Piedmontese capital, takes place every year on the first Sunday of March, on the occasion of International Women's Day.
Also in 2024, Derthona and BCC Derthona will take the field alongside JTWIA: the women's team will in fact wear the pink t-shirts in the pre-match of the match against Carugate bathroom size, scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday January 27 18 hours at the PalaCamagna in Tortona, while the Lions will wear them in the match against Bank of Sardinia Sassari which will be played Saturday February 10 19 hours at PalaEnergica Paolo Ferraris.
JTWIA is not only the non-competitive 5km walking race but also the Prevention Village, which from Friday 1st to Saturday 3rd March will offer citizens who wish to take advantage of it free prevention visits, consultations, conferences and informative webinars. It is a physical and digital space and an opportunity for meeting, dialogue and celebration between the academic world, Italian healthcare excellence, citizens and schools. A delegation from the two Clubs will be present at the Villaggio della Salute on Friday 1st March.
The two companies, for the third consecutive year, take the field alongside prevention and research, with Just The Woman I Am.
