Derthona and BCC Derthona again alongside Just The Woman I Am
A partnership with a strong, profitable and long-lasting social value, the one between Derthona and BCC Derthona Basket and Just The Woman I Am , which is also renewed for the 2024 edition of the non-competitive 5 km walk race that aims to raise funds for university cancer research, promotes prevention, healthy lifestyles, inclusion and gender equality.
Just The Woman I Am is an event born in 2014 from the collaboration between Cus Torino, in collaboration with the University and Polytechnic of Turin and took place both in presence in Turin and in Virtual mode over the years. The walking race, in the Piedmontese capital, takes place every year on the first Sunday of March, on the occasion of International Women's Day.
Also in 2024, Derthona and BCC Derthona will take the field alongside JTWIA: the women's team will wear pink t-shirts in the pre-match match against Dimensione Bagno Carugate , scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday 27 January at 18 pm at the PalaCamagna in Tortona, while the Leoni will wear them in the match against Banco di Sardegna Sassari which will be played on Saturday 10 February at 19 pm at the PalaEnergica Paolo Ferraris.
JTWIA is not just a non-competitive 5km walk but also the Prevention Village , which from Friday, March 1st to Saturday, March 3rd will offer free preventive health checkups, consultations, conferences, and educational webinars to interested citizens. This physical and digital space will provide an opportunity for academics, Italian healthcare leaders, citizens, and schools to meet, engage in dialogue, and celebrate. A delegation from the two clubs will be present at the Health Village on Friday, March 1st.
The two companies, for the third consecutive year, take the field alongside prevention and research, with Just The Woman I Am.
