Derthona 74 Latina 62: the news
VOGHERA. Derthona wins the third match in the last four matches against Latina and maintains third place together with Siena (who won in extra time in Reggio Calabria) and ahead of Agropoli (who lost against Roma). It ends 74-62, with the partial scored in the second quarter (23-15) decisive for the match. Coach Cavina starts with Spissu, Simoncelli, Marks, Brooks and Garri. On the opposite side, Gramenzi chooses Uglietti, Mei, Tavernelli, Tagliabue and Novacic, a Croatian winger born in 1985 who is 201 centimeters tall and who arrived at Benacquista to strengthen the Pontine roster following the further injury suffered by Chace Stanback. The first points of the match were scored by Garri after a pick n'roll with Spissu. The third quarter begins and Marks scores from long range, Gramenzi protests for a pass called to his team and gets the technical. Spissu makes it a three, but Latina stays in the game with a penetration by Grande (66-56). Garri and Simoncelli always give the decisive push to the match from long range (72-56). Derthona manages the final and takes home their third victory (74-62) in the last four games.
