Demis Cavina: “We're finally going home!”

Cavina - press conference day 20

Demis Cavina: “We're finally going home!”

Just over 24 hours after the return to the PalaOltrePo' in Voghera, coach Demis Cavina took stock of the situation at Derthona, where the wait for the return to the "home" field is palpable. “We are finally returning home – exclaims the Castel San Pietro coach smiling – where we have lived the last fabulous years. The return is highly anticipated, even if the team has already held several training sessions to become familiar with this very particular pitch. There is great interest in our return to Voghera, but we are equally focused on a match that will pit us against a formidable opponent with great individual quality."
How has Scafati changed compared to the first leg?
“After the changes in the roster, due to the quality he may have available today, Scafati does not occupy an appropriate ranking position. Starting from the winning and expert coach, up to a very deep group, with talent, experience and size, there are many things to pay attention to. Compared to the first leg, several players have changed, but the fundamental characteristics of the Campania team have remained unchanged, with great danger on the perimeter and four interchangeable big men, with a great rebounding presence."

What are the team's conditions when they resume after the break for the Italian Cup?
“First of all I want to congratulate Alessandro Ramagli, Virtus Bologna and in particular Marco Spissu, to whom I personally congratulated for the victory and personal titles a few minutes after the end of the match. The Final Eight confirmed the balance within the two groups and, after the match in Biella, we are even more aware that to continue having fun we will have to keep our intensity high and work as we have done in these two weeks in which there were no championship matches scheduled.”
