Fifth consecutive championship success for Bertram Derthona, who against Umana Reyer Venezia offers an important performance on both sides of the pitch against a high-level opponent. After a balanced first few minutes, the Bianconeri extended their lead several times, fending off any attempt at a comeback by their opponents and prevailed in front of a large crowd of 'pink' fans.

First half of great intensity at PalaEnergica: Derthona, after a balanced initial match, takes the lead driven by Christon's play (9 p). At 10' the score is 15-12. In the second period Bertram produced a great acceleration driven by three-point shooting (4/8 in the second ten minutes) and by defensive readiness: Christon's basket closed the first half played very well by the team coached by Ramondino at 42-29.

Upon returning from the locker rooms, the Lions regained their maximum lead in the match (46-29), before suffering the return of Reyer, who reached -4 (48-44) with Spissu's triple. In the final, Radošević and Severini produce a new mini break which makes it 57-47 in the 30th minute. Tavernelli's three-point basket and Radošević's support push Bertram forward again, up to 64-49 in the 33rd minute which forces coach De Raffaele to stop the match. The guests try to close the gap, especially with Granger's baskets, but the Bianconeri maintain their coolness and clarity and always find the best offensive solutions: at the siren the final is 77-61.

Thus coach Marco Ramondino at the end of the race: “Thank you very much to this splendid audience who we are very grateful for their participation and the help they have given us: tonight's victory belongs as much to the Club as to the players and also to you. We will play at home soon, after two away games and the international break: it would be a source of great pride to have this enthusiasm when we return to play at home. We deserved to win this match, our players played an extremely good and continuous match. Venezia's return in the third quarter was due to their quality; their skill and organization was seen when we slightly lowered the intensity level. We are very happy with something we said to ourselves this week: when you meet opponents of such a high profile you have to be able to raise your level and not wait for them to drop. Any team that wants to cultivate ambitions must have a contribution from everyone, on multiple levels, and also an impact from all the players because there are moments in the season in which absences, injuries and difficulties must be made up for. Our team has a quality that can be taught and worked on, which is not wanting to force certain situations but taking what the opponents leave: Christon, like all our players, is very good at doing this and this widespread danger gives him allows you to attack the basket on the move. The team works well, the training sessions are of excellent intensity and the messages we send are focused on work, on maintaining high standards in attitude, in attention to detail: this allows us to be calm".
