Prestigious victory in the preseason for Bertram Derthona, which enters the roll of honor of the 'Carlo Lovari' Trophy by winning the eighth edition. In the remake of last year's tournament final, the team coached by Ramondino showcased offensive brilliance for large stretches of the match (led by Baldasso and Candi who scored the decisive break in the second half) and defensive presence, against an opponent of high level like Venice. The two teams, still without the players involved with their respective national teams at the FIBA World Cup, will find themselves opposing each other on Sunday 1 October at Taliercio on the opening day of the 2023/24 Serie A. Bertram will close their preseason commitments with the luxury appointment on Tuesday 19 September in Vitoria against Baskonia, before the Super Cup semi-final (Saturday 23 September at 20.45pm) against Germani Brescia.

The favorable moment for the Bianconeri lasted until half-time, thanks to the offensive fluidity: Obasohan's triple set the score at 39-53 in the 20th minute.
Upon returning from the locker rooms, Bertram - showing good offensive tactics and attention in defense - maintains command of the operations and rejects all the opponents' attempts to return: in the 30th minute Leoni ahead 66-77. In the last quarter, the team coached by Spahija tried several times to close the score, but the Bianconeri, with clarity, found the shots that allowed them to maintain the margin accumulated in the previous minutes. In the final Derthona further widened the gap to 79-93.
