Good first round: Virtus Roma 57 Derthona 64

Good first one! Faced with good support from fans who traveled to Rome and encouraged by the thoughts of all those who remained who tried almost in vain to follow with LNP TV, coach Cavina's boys conquered the capital and brought home the first two points of the season.

The first basket of the 2015/2016 season is by Derrick Marks to which Roma's designated shooter Voskuil immediately responds, who with Meini and Olasewere is the soul of Virtus. Roma prepared the match by trying to limit Brooks as much as possible and in this start to the match they succeeded. At the first half-time break, two points ahead for Tortona at 21-19.

Spissu, Reati and Ammannato were very present in the match, the defenses often got the better of the attack and the second quarter ended with the external lead at 33 – 31 with Voskuil effectively scoring half the team's points (15 for him).

Upon returning from the long break the powders are even wetter. Reati unlocks Tortona after 2' while Roma has to wait another 2 minutes for Olasewere's bomb. Tortona begins the first attempts to push forward while Maresca, a true Roman, takes the team on his shoulders and mends the game but Luca Garri takes charge with flashes of class that put Tortona ahead again by 5 at the last break: 46 – 41.

Tortona continues with a good defensive attitude and first a triple from Brooks and then Spissu score the plus 10 at 53-43 but a bit of tiredness and some small mistakes in the form of missed rotations and turnovers allow Roma to get back to minus 3. Spissu scores the triple which still puts the Lions ahead by 6, an advantage which allows Tortona to manage Rome's latest outburst and return home with the scoresheet.

Derthona: Garri 13, Spissu 12, Reati 11, Brooks 11, Ammannato 9, Marks 7, Bianchi 1.
