Bertram Derthona protagonist at the 'Fausto Coppi International Award'

Great success for the first edition of 'International Fausto Coppi Award – City of Tortona', an event created by Charly Bergaglio and included among the events of the tenth anniversary of Arena Derthona, the music festival that brings prestigious Italian and international singers to the city every summer: in the evocative setting of the Teatro Civico di Tortona, yesterday evening, Wednesday 4 December 2019 , several important local personalities were awarded.

Among these also the Bertram Yachts Derthona, one of the city's sporting excellences, present at the event with a delegation led by President Roberto Tava, by Marco Ramondino, head coach of the first team, by players Rei Pullazi and Quirino De Laurentiis, who went on stage to receive the award from the hands of the Mayor of Tortona Federico Chiodi. Also sitting in the audience were CEO Marco Picchi, Alessandro Pirulli, member of the Board of Directors and Administrative Manager and Ferencz Bartocci, General Director of the Club.

The evening, which saw several exciting moments, including the award ceremony to Marina and Faustino Coppi and that to Franco Brera and Andrea Mainetti in memory of Gianni Brera, was hosted by Marino Bartoletti and Federico Quaranta and saw the alternation of videos and photos of the protagonists of the evening, awarded by the various authorities present at the Teatro Civico of Tortona. The event was enlivened by some musical performances, including that of Paolo Benvegnù who was awarded a Special Prize presented by Federico Quaranta.

The 'Fausto Coppi International Award - City of Tortona' was sponsored by the Municipality of Tortona, the Senate of the Republic and the Chamber of Deputies, the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, the Piedmont Region and the Liguria Region, by CONI, the Paralympic Committee, the University of Eastern Piedmont and had the support of the Cassa di Risparmio di Tortona Foundation.
