Bertram Derthona present at the presentation of the Sports Tutors project for high-level student-athletes together with Serie A football clubs

Important event took place on Monday 21 October 2019 at the Florence headquarters of IUL University, where the project dedicated to sports tutors of high-level student-athletes was presented. At the seminar ʺThe community of sports tutors: the challenge of sports teaching innovationʺ, in addition to Serie A football clubs such as Juventus, Turin, Milan, Inter, Genoa and Verona, Bertram Yachts Derthona was also present with Tommaso Della Godenza, who arrived in Tortona in the summer, head of the guesthouse and coach of the Club's Under 14 Elite, Under 16 and Under 17 Gold groups.

ʺWhen the secretariat of our League sent us the invitation to Florence – states Ferencz Bartocci, General Director of Bertram Yachts Derthona – we immediately thought of intervening. We were the only basketball club to participate in the event: we do not consider it a boast, but a stimulus for the other clubs to put themselves forward and participate in opportunities for comparison with football realities of Serie A and B. All this represents an enrichment for try to increase the quality of our offer and services for young athletes of interest to the first teamsʺ.

At the moment there are twenty-three athletes of the Juventus Club, from Serie A2 to Under 15 Eccellenza, and ten schools, between Tortona, Voghera and the Alessandria area, who have already joined the high-level student-athlete project.

The event in Florence, open and dedicated to sports tutors of student-athletes, was organized by the IUL Telematic University and the Francesco d'Assisi Scientific High School in Rome as part of the project ʺHigh-level student-athlete teaching experimentationʺ promoted by the Ministry of Education, University and Research. There were several high-level sports clubs that took part in the event, opened by the speech of Raffaele Ciambrone (Director of Office V - School sports policies of the MIUR, General Directorate for Students, Integration and Participation) and continued with the words of Marta Serrano, President of Sport Innovation Hub, and Marino Mazzocca, IUL contact person for the project.

Following this, some speakers described the successful initiatives and practices that have been implemented in past years. For Bertram Yachts Derthona and Tommaso Della Godenza it was an important opportunity to learn about and participate in a high-level event as part of the high-level student-athlete project.
