Bertram Derthona – Givova Scafati, the Teddy Bear Toss is back
On Saturday afternoon, in the thirteenth round of the regular season scheduled at PalaOltrepo' at 18.30pm between the Leoni and Givova Scafati, the Teddy Bear Toss returns. The fun initiative, of American origin, will have a purely charitable purpose, the proceeds of which will be donated to the benefit of the little ones who will spend the holidays hospitalized in the pediatric departments of Voghera and the Piccolo Cottolengo Don Orione in Tortona.
Derthona thus invites fans of both teams to show up at PalaOltrepo' on Saturday afternoon with teddy bears, to be thrown onto the playing parquet after the first basket of the match, regardless of which team scores it. At the same time, the Club has taken steps to organize a distribution point for free soft toys in the ticket office area of the PalaOltrepo'.
The charitable purpose will be twofold: once collected, the stuffed animals will be donated to the little hospitalized children by the first team players, while the proceeds from the donations will go to provide the pediatrics department of the Voghera hospital with an ad hoc machine donated by Bertram Derthona and all her people.
The initiative is also possible thanks to the collaboration of the FIP competitive sector, which has made itself available to cancel the disciplinary measures that could be imposed by the regulation for the suspension of the race in the time necessary to collect the same stuffed animals.
