Bertram Derthona-Bergamo: the presentation press conference
The press conference to present Bertram Derthona-Bergamo, the seasonal debut in the championship for the team coached by coach Ramondino, took place yesterday evening, Friday 11 October 2019, at the Conforama store in Tortona. The match is scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday 13 October 2019, at the PalaOltrepò in Voghera: the match sponsor of the match will be Lumicom, a company that joined the team of Leoni partners this year.
Christian Perini, director of the Conforama store in Tortona, opened the press conference by thanking them ʺDerthona Basket and the friends of Lumicom for choosing this particular location. This establishes a collaboration that has been active for some years now with the basketball team and with Lumicom, which is one of our historic lighting suppliers. We pride ourselves on supplying furniture and furnishing accessories - which are Conforama's core business - to Derthona Basketʺ.
Coach Marco Ramondino then took the floor, analyzing his team's approach to the championship and presenting Sunday's match: ʺWe have made a good journey so far, taking into consideration that our common experience lasts fifty days. We expect progress to continue throughout the season as the team was built with the idea that the group of players would not reach their full potential in the preseason. As for Sunday's match, the first day of the championship is special and open to any prediction: we will therefore have to be ready both mentally and in character. Bergamo plays aggressively and intensely, on their debut they won against Scafati; we want to test ourselves in the championship, a different context than the one seen so farʺ.
ʺOn Sunday we will have to follow our game plan to do well – comments Bruno Mascolo – against a team that won on its debut. The experience in China was very beautiful, the sensations are different both in terms of people and approach. On a technical level there is regret for having lost against Russia in extra time, but overall it was a wonderful adventure that I am very happy withʺ.
Davide Parente, sporting director of Bertram Derthona, spoke about the first period in Tortona and the match against Bergamo, stating how It is pleasant and stimulating to work with the group of people in the company. The Club wants to become a point of reference for the area and tries to make everyone feel at ease to do their best. As regards the championship opener, there is great curiosity because it will be our debut. In the Final Four of the LNP Super Cup 2019 Old Wild West we have already played some matches from inside or outside, we must continue on our daily growth path as we have already done in these fifty daysʺ.
