Bertram Derthona announces Mirza Alibegovic
Bertram Derthona announces the hiring until June 2020 of Mirza Alibegovic, a 195cm guard/winger born in 1992 from Betaland Capo d'Orlando, with whom he played 19 games in Serie A and 15 in the Basketball Champions League.
The new Juventus player will arrive in Tortona in the next few hours, in time to complete his registration and make his debut on Sunday afternoon at PalaFerraris against Novipiù Casale Monferrato.
Son of former player Teoman Alibegovic, born on 25 September 1992 in Corvallis, Oregon, but Italian in all respects, Mirza is a product of the youth sector of Snaidero Pallalcesto Udine, a club with which he debuted at senior level in the 2009 season/ 10. His CV also includes important experiences with the shirts of Fortitudo Bologna (B1), Pesaro, Pistoia and Brindisi in Serie A. In 2013 he was in Mantua (A2), before arriving at Centrale del Latte Brescia (11 points per game with 56% from 2 points and 39% from 3) with which, at the end of the second season, they achieved promotion to Serie A after beating, among others, Derthona after five games of the quarter-final series.
His debut in Serie A took place in 2016/17 with the Fiat Torino shirt (30 games, 7.8 points on average with 50% from the field and 31% from 3 points), before moving to Betaland Capo d'Orlando, where up to now he has averaged 7 points in 19' (35% from 2, 35% from 3) of use in the championship and 7.9 points in 20' (45% from 2, 37% from 3) in the fifteen games played in the Basketball Champions League.
