Defeat for Autosped BCC Derthona at PalaRomare: facing Famila Wuber Schio, the team that has dominated the last twenty years of Italian women's basketball, the team coached by Cutugno plays on equal terms and resists the opposing force for over twenty-five minutes, before suffering the decisive break for the outcome of the match. Among the keys to Schio's success are offensive rebounds and second-chance points, but BCC comes out of this challenge with many important signals for the final part of the season.

High intensity first quarter at PalaRomare: BCC finds offensive fluidity and precision in shooting from outside, arriving to lead 15-18. In the final stages of the quarter, the 9-0 home run allows Schio to take the lead and close ahead 24-18 at 10'. In the second quarter, Famila raises the intensity of its defense and finds energy from second offensive opportunities to extend the score beyond the double digit margin: at halftime the partial is 43-31.

After returning from the locker rooms, Autosped tries to stay in contact in the score, but Sottana's plays and offensive rebounds allow Schio first to control the attempt to come back and then to widen the gap to +20 (68-48) at the third siren. In the last quarter, BCC puts great energy and intensity on the field, playing again on par with the opponents: the final sees Famila win by 88-69.

Coach's comment Orazio Cutugno: "The rebounds created a significant part of the gap, as did Schio's ability to punish our defensive errors. For long stretches we played on equal terms, with boldness, so we also take several good things. The attention to raising the bar from a technical-tactical and physical point of view given the opponent was necessary".

The words of the captain Beatrice Attura: “We knew that Schio is one of the six best teams in Europe: we suffer a bit from their physicality, but I think that in attack we played well and that there are positive ideas to take to continue to grow for the final phase of the championship. We have many players who are able to bring intensity to defense and this helps us, furthermore we are able to change defense to take away offensive rhythm from the opponents. We think one game at a time, we have two more games and then the first round of the playoffs”.
