Autosped BCC Derthona returns to success in the championship, leading the challenge against MEP Pellegrini Alpo from the first moments. The team coached by Cutugno, without Melchiori, finds several protagonists during the game, controls the rebounds (58 to 37 the final count in the fight under the backboards in favor of coach Cutugno's girls) and the pace and progressively extends its margin, building a success that will be easy in the end. The Giraffes will now observe their turn of break in the championship and will return to the field on Sunday 15 December at 18 in Faenza in the last game of the first round.
Brilliant start to the game for Autosped, who controls and makes a big noise on the rebound, earns second chances and with choral plays extends the score to 10-21 at the first siren. In the second quarter the Giraffes find less fluidity in attack, but with great defensive application and presence under the backboards they repel Alpo's attempts to come back. A gust by Attura at the end of the first half sets the partial at 24-36 at the interval.
With a high intensity 0-15 break after returning from the locker rooms, BCC repeatedly updates the maximum advantage and directs the game: despite Alpo's attempts to close the gap, the team coached by Cutugno closes the fraction ahead 31-54. In the last quarter Autosped manages the accumulated margin and wins 44-75.
The words of Arianna Arado: "We played solidly and with the right mentality right from the start, having worked hard during the week. When we returned from the locker room, we continued with the right attitude. We are satisfied with what we are doing, we try to do better every day".
Coach's comment Orazio Cutugno: “We wanted to capitalize on the latest performances to improve something: the work we did on the rebound was really productive and guaranteed us extra possessions. We were able to play more on the counterattack and in flow. In the second half we increased the energy, attacking more one-on-one on the weak points identified”.
