Assembly of the A2 series clubs
The Assembly of the Serie A2 clubs was held yesterday in Bologna. In the presence of almost all the Associates, the changes planned for the A2 season, which will start between Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October, were analysed. Among the items on the agenda was the television coverage of Serie A2 matches, which starting this year will also be broadcast on the LNP TV Pass streaming platform, as well as on the Sky Sport channels, as part of the Italbasket programming HD, the television project launched by FIP. The philosophies of the new website www.legapallacanestro.com, online for a few days with a rich series of new features, including the renewed graphic design, were illustrated. The 2016 LNP events were presented, with the Italian Cup which will be awarded for Serie A2 with the new Final Eight formula, on the occasion of the RNB Basket Festival event at Rimini Fiera (4-6 March 2016); and the All Star Game, scheduled for January 9th in Livorno. The proposal for the 2 Serie A2016 playoff calendar, awaiting ratification by the FIP, was also illustrated. Dr. Alessandro Annessa, president of COMTEC, was a guest of the Assembly and illustrated the control methods to which the Associates will be subjected starting from this season. As part of the experimentation for the implementation of the electronic report, foreseen at a national level in the Serie A2 championship only, FIP officials delivered the tablets to the clubs for online reporting.
