Valerio Cucci arrives
Derthona Basket announces that it has reached an agreement for the next season with the winger/center Valerio Cucci.
Born in Rome on 18 January 1995, 202 centimeters tall, Valerio is a product of the youth sector of the Stella Azzurra, a club with which he entered the senior world in the 2013/14 DNB championship, finishing with 9.6 points and 8 rebounds on average.
After making his debut in A2 Gold with Veroli (5 points and 4 rebounds on average in 18 games) in the first part of the 2014/15 season which was then concluded in Serie B at Stella Azzurra Roma (14 points and 10 rebounds on average in 3 games), Cucci moved to Mens Sana Siena in A2 Ovest (5.3 points and 3.6 rebounds in 18' of average usage), crossing paths with that of his new team on two occasions.
Thus the sporting director Miro De Giuli on the new arrival in Juventus: "I extend my personal welcome to Valerio in Tortona and I wish him to be able to express his full potential during the next season. This is a young player who has managed to accumulate significant experience at this level in recent years, making himself known for his energy, his notable ability to rebound and his defensive presence, aspects that could contribute to him entering the heart of Tortona athletes.”
