Opening and closing with Derby: here is the calendar of the Green Group of the Lions
Passion, rivalry, spectacle. Derbies are races that have a particular charm: Bertram Yachts Derthona will open and close their championship with two challenges - with Turin on the first day and JB Monferrato on the thirteenth - which have been significant over the last few years.
This morning, Thursday 10 September 2020, the provisional calendar of the Green Group was revealed, the stages that the Lions will have to face during the regular season of the tournament: after the inaugural match, within the friendly walls of the PalaOltrepò, against Reale Mutual of the former Cavina and Alibegovic (return scheduled for Sunday 24 January 2021 at 18.00 pm at PalaGianniAsti), Derthona will be involved in a double away match in Sicily (in Capo d'Orlando Wednesday 18 November 2020 at 21.00 pm ea Trapani Sunday 22 November 2020 at 18.00 pm) before a new Piedmontese derby, against Edilnol Biella, Sunday 29 November 2020 at 18.00 pm, race valid for the fourth day (return scheduled at the Hype Forum on Sunday 7 February 2021 at 18.00 pm).
Other days to mark on the calendar are Sunday 27 December 2020, when the glorious and ambitious Scaligera Verona of the former Phil Greene IV (return to the AGSM Forum on Sunday 7 March 2021 at 18.00 pm), and Wednesday 6 January 2021, the day on which the Lions will host theAPU OWW Udine (at PalCarnera the match will be played on Wednesday 17 March 2021 at 20.00 pm). The first round will end - in Voghera - on Sunday 17 January 2021, at 18.00 pm, with the Provincial Derby against JB Monferrato (return to PalaFerraris on Sunday 28 March at 18.00 pm).
Overall, there will be six midweek rounds awaiting the Lions during the regular season, equally divided between the first and second legs.
The Club announces that, at the end of the twenty-six regular season matches, six matchdays will be played with teams from the Red Group.
Days and times of the races may be subject to change due to the possibility of changing the dates of the challenges. Therefore, the final calendar of the Green Group of the championship will be published later.
