Andrea Pecchia is the new captain of the Lions
There's a new captain aboard the Derthona Basketball. Receiving the investiture during the first week of training of the 2026-27 season of the Lions was Andrew PecchiaThe small forward from Milan, who turns 29 next November, is in his second season wearing the black and white jersey and thus inherits the virtual armband from former teammate Tommaso Baldasso.

Andrew Pecchia: "This role as captain makes me proud, it makes me even more responsible to the team, the city of Tortona, and the entire club. I'll try to convey my energy and my desire to work hard every day to achieve results. It's great to have stayed with Derthona for a second year, a great and very ambitious club; we already saw that last year with an excellent season. This year we want to try to achieve something more, starting with the Super Cup, which we'll play at home."
