Andrea Baldi and Francesco Murru: the physical trainers of the Lions
The Bertram Derthona staff is increasingly taking shape for their first adventure in the top flight: the Club announces that Andrea Baldi and Francesco Murru will be the physical trainers in the 2021/22 season.
Arriving in Tortona in the summer of 2020, Baldi immediately showed off his high-level experience and qualities. He was part of the staff capable of winning the Serie A2 Old Wild West championship in 2021 and will now continue his adventure in black and white.
ʺI am very happy to continue my adventure at Derthona Basket, in a professional and familiar environment at the same time which is now preparing to face its first year in Serie A – the words of Andrea Baldi -. I felt comfortable in Tortona and for this reason I chose to join the club with a multi-year contractʺ.
At his side will be Francesco Murru, born in Oristano on 13 May 1994, who boasts a three-year degree in physical and sports activities sciences and is attending a master's degree in advanced sports sciences and techniques. After obtaining the qualification of FIP Basic Trainer and Basic Physical Trainer, he is currently following the FIP National Physical Trainer course.
In his career, Murru was Physical Trainer of the youth sector of Pallacanestro Nichelino, Pallacanestro Pancalieri (women), and Pino Torinese (in Serie D), a team of which he was also assistant coach. Murru is also part of the staff of FIP Sardinia, of which he is a physical trainer.
During his career he was also assistant coach of the youth teams of Cus Torino and coach of Ginnastica Reale Torino, Pino Torinese (also minibasketball instructor) and Chieri. Now he arrives at Bertram Derthona to start a new adventure.
Thus Francesco Murru: ʺI am grateful and happy to start this new adventure in Tortona. I can't wait to start the season and give the best support to the team and staff, trying to improve my work every day..
