The Juventus minibasketball season is underway

It started in the afternoon of Monday 9 September 2019, the 2019/20 season of Juventus minibasketball: led by Bertram Derthona's technical staff, boys and girls (years of birth from 2008 to 2015) will have the opportunity to carry out a free trial period.

The Club presents itself at the starting line of the year with a rich and complete training proposal, aimed at both the technical growth of the players and fun, with the aim of getting the kids as close and passionate about basketball as possible. Each group will participate in a championship or concentration during the season; furthermore, the boys will be protagonists of the pre-match events that will be organized on the days of the Serie A2 home matches.

He will lead the group of instructors Alessio Gaudio, responsible for minibasketball, who will take care of the organizational and technical management of the entire activity carried out by the sector. Alongside him, in addition to the confirmed ones Valentina Scardaci e Clara D'Amico, the staff has been expanded with two figures who boast great experience: Andrea Fanaletti e Clara Tallone.

ʺThere is no need to remind us of the importance of the mini-basketball sector in a club like Derthona Basket, which is deeply rooted in the territory. The choice of young but already experienced instructors – says Andrea Ablatico, president of the Derthona Basketball Lab – it is programmatic in this sense. I like to underline how Alessio Gaudio's work involved the kids from our youth sector in the activity. Already today the contribution that these athletes give to the more expert instructors is crucial and represents that connection with the civil society of the area which is the basis of the Club. They are boys from Tortona. Children of your friends who enter the field to direct training. In conclusion, I want to wish everyone a good job, welcoming Clara Tallone and Andrea Fanaletti. There are eleven instructors for approximately one hundred and fifty children aged between six and eleven. This is the strength of numbersʺ.

There are therefore two new additions to the Juventus staff: Fanaletti - who will also lead a group from the Juventus youth sector - began his career as a minibasketball instructor at the Polisportiva Castellana, while in the following years he held the same position at the MB Gossolengo and the CAS Borgonovo. Clara Tallone has a degree in Sports Science and began her career as a Minibasketball Instructor in 2008/09, at the ASD Sport Village Carbonara Scrivia, a club where she remained until the end of last season guiding Pulcini, Squirrels, Aquilotti and Rookies (in the last two years). Since 2014 you have been part of the minibasketball staff of Castelnuovo Scrivia, of which you - since last year - have been the responsible instructor. At the BCC you coached the Scoiattoli, the Aquilotti, the Gazzelle (women's team) and the Esordienti; Clara also participated in Motor Education projects for primary schools with the Derthona Sports Club (in Tortona) and for Asd Sport Village in Carbonara Scrivia and Sarezzano.

The five minibasketball instructors of Bertram Derthona will be supported by six players from the youth sector, who had already approached the activity last season: Leonardo PezzullaNicola PernigottiUmberto BagnascoGiulio LombardiAlberto Nizzola e Andrea Melisi, who will take to the field during the year together with the mini-basketball kids.

The group Black rookies (who will play the competitive championship) will be coached by Alessio Gaudio, flanked by Valentina Scardaci and Nicola Pernigotti, while that White rookies (who will play the non-competitive championship) will be led by Valentina Scardaci, assisted by Alberto Nizzola and Umberto Bagnasco. Andrea Fanaletti he will be the instructor of the Aquilotti and will have the collaboration of Clara Tallone and Giulio Lombardi; the Squirrels group will be managed by Valentina Scardaci (together with Nicola Pernigotti and Giulio Lombardi).

Finally, Clara Tallone Clara D'Amico they will be the instructors responsible for the Pulcini group, the youngest Juventus players: alongside them there will be Andrea Melisi, Alberto Nizzola, Leonardo Pezzulla and Umberto Bagnasco.

ʺI am really happy that the club allowed me to continue the work I started last season. This year – says Alessio Gaudio – the objective is to confirm growth both from an organizational and technical point of view, trying to further raise the bar. To do this, the technical staff has expanded, which can count on eleven instructors; furthermore, the inclusion of Andrea Fanaletti and Clara Tallone represents a further signal of the Club's desire to further improve the quality of the lessons. We also worked on the organization of the groups and the number of training sessions, trying to place each boy in the context best suited to their abilities in order to encourage technical growth and fun. We can't wait to start this season, in which we have all the ingredients to do great things.
