Update on Grant Basile's conditions
Bertram Derthona communicates that Grant Basile, on the recommendation of the Club's healthcare staff, was visited today by Dr. Giorgio Pivato, head of the Humanitas Hand Center. The examination revealed a displaced fracture of the base of the first metacarpal of the left hand, therefore the athlete will have to undergo reduction and synthesis surgery. After the operation it will be necessary to follow an adequate rehabilitation protocol aimed at functional recovery, which is not expected before six weeks.
