Debut with victory for the Gulliver Supermarkets Derthona in the new championship of Interregional Serie B. Two-faced match for the Bianconeri against Varese Campus in the match on the home parquet of the PalaCamagna in Tortona which officially opened the Group A of the North-West Conference of the new, fourth senior championship at national level. After a first half with 60 points scored and a 23 lead, Tortona put everything back into question in the second half and was caught up by a tenacious Campus, who went up to -3 with less than 3 minutes to go. There, an alley-oop from Errica for Tandia's dunk gave new breath and allowed the home team to immediately put 2 points in the standings. MVP Lorenzo Baldi: 28 points on the scoresheet for the starting point guard, 20 of which to facilitate the escape of the first half with a series of 13 consecutive in the opening period.
Next week the first away match of the tournament will be on the Basketball Gallarate field, with two-ball scheduled for Saturday 7 October at 19pm in the Municipal Gym of the city in the province of Varese.
