The 'Nico Messina' Award goes to Ettore Messina: presentation on Monday 30 October at the Teatro Civico of Tortona
An illustrious winner enriches the roll of honor of 'Nico Messina' Award: Ettore Messina, head coach of EA7 Emporio Armani Milano, joins Boscia Tanjevic, Carlo Recalcati, Valerio Bianchini and Sandro Gamba.
The award, promoted by the FIP Regional Committee of Basilicata, wants to honor the memory of the coach who discovered Dino Meneghin. This fifth edition will have as its location the Civic Theater of Tortona, thanks to the collaboration between Derthona Basket and FIP Basilicata. Nico Messina, in 1955, was among the founders of the company capable of growing over the years and reaching the top of national basketball.
The event is scheduled Monday October 30 18.30 hours: in the first part the figure of Nico Messina will be remembered, with the contributions of champions of our basketball such as Dino Meneghin e Carlo Caglieris, by the President of FIP Basilicata Giovanni Lamorte and the regional President of the Basilicata National Coaches Committee Gianfranco Pace, As well as of Andrea Capobianco, Technical Commissioner of the women's national team.
After this first part, the prize will be delivered to the hands of Ettore Messina. Entrance to the theater for this occasion will be free.
This is an important opportunity to remember a great protagonist of Italian and Tortona basketball, and to attend a high-level event with some players and coaches who have written important pages in the history of our basketball.
