Prentiss Hubb Named NBA MVP and Sixth Man of the Month for February
Bertram Derthona Tortona's excellent February was also thanks to the extraordinary performances of Juventus point guard Prentiss Hubb, whose consistency and excellent performance were recognized by the LBA today.
The American point guard, who arrived in Tortona last summer after experiences in Germany with Ludwigsburg, in Italy with Aquila Basket Trento and in Greece with AEK Athens, was in fact named Unipol MVP and Sixth Man DOLE of the Italian championship for February.
“I'm incredibly happy with these awards. My hard work during the week is paying off this weekend; I want to keep pushing hard and finish the season on a high note. A special thank you goes to the entire team and coaching staff,” says Prentiss Hubb.
Naturally, these awards earned Hubb a spot on the LBA Dream Team for February, which also includes Amedeo Della Valle (Germani Brescia), Mirza Alibegovic (APU Old Wild West Udine), Kyle Wiltjer (Umana Reyer Venezia), and Oumar Ballo (Acqua S.Bernardo Cantù).
In addition to a 2026 Frecciarossa Final Eight in which he was named Top Scorer and Best Assistman with 20.0 points and 6.3 assists on average, the month of February was also extraordinary for Hubb in the league matches against Udine, Trieste and Sassari, collecting 26.0 points (62.5% from two, 53.3% from three and 90.9% from the free throw line), 5.7 assists and 2.0 rebounds on average, all coming off the bench.
Particularly noteworthy was the match against Pallacanestro Trieste, in which Hubb rewrote the all-time record for points scored (37) by a Juventus player in the history of Derthona, also becoming the best scorer in a 2025-26 LBA Serie A Unipol championship match.
