Coach Fioretti's comments after Game 5: "A beautiful series and an incredible season."
Coach Fioretti's Bertram Derthona Tortona's season ends with their heads held high, having been defeated only at the end of Race 5 in the 2026 LBA Playoff Quarterfinal series by Umana Reyer Venezia.
In the press conference, the Juventus coach emphasized the opponents' solidity in managing to win the series. "First of all, best of luck to Venice and congratulations. It's a wonderful series; they were solid enough to reach the final set here and put in a fantastic performance," he said at the start.
"Then I'd like to congratulate our players, who had an incredible season. I'm talking about their daily work, their relationships. A huge thank you to the players, to the club—and when I say club, I mean everyone—right down to the medical and physiotherapy staff: we've had a few physical issues this season too, and the staff has been exceptional," Fioretti continued, praising the team's work.
"Our coach Jacopo Torresi and his assistant Francesco Sciarretta were also fantastic. If we were able to play like this, right to the end, it's certainly thanks to the relationship we had and the planning we had with them."
"Last but not least, all the support my two assistants have done this year: both Iacopo Squarcina and Andrea Vicenzutto were truly exceptional. They all had an incredible season. I wouldn't say anything else; I think you all saw the match: a beautiful battle, full of emotion and competition. Congratulations to both teams," Fioretti concluded.
