Coach Fioretti praises the team's performance in Cremona: "A very solid performance, even in defense."
Bertram Derthona Tortona's eighth win in twelve games comes after a performance on both ends of the court that left coach Mario Fioretti feeling positive after the match: "It's a very important victory. Coming here against an opponent who is almost unbeatable at home means we put in a solid performance and makes us happy with how we're working. We turned very few balls over, and our ability to control the ball well prevented Cremona from running wild like they usually do. We played well, playing at a really high level for the first three quarters, but Cremona's desire to get back into the game put us in trouble, combined with some pressure on our part in attack. We're really, really pleased to have put in such a tough performance on defense. This year, it's an aspect of our game that sometimes kept us from being happy at the end of the game, but this time, we were really happy."

I want to mention coach Jacopo Torresi, who has worked here in Cremona for many years, and his assistant Francesco Sciarretta. And then my two assistants, Iacopo [Squarcina] and Andrea [Vicenzutto], who are fundamental in preparing for the match, in breaking up the opposing teams' play, in working individually with our players: much of this work is theirs, so my compliments go to them because they're doing incredible things."
