Bertram closes the training camp in Sauze d'Oulx with the first friendly match of the season. Today at 17pm against BBC Monthey-Chablais
Eight days after the meeting and exactly one week after the start of training, for the new one Bertram Derthona the time has come for the very first verification test. Today at 17pm the Juventus team will be involved ininaugural friendly match of preseason 2024/25, opponents the Swiss of BBC Monthey-Chablais, fifth in the regular season in the top Swiss championship last year only to be eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. The event, open to the public, is at Pin Court di Sauze d'Oulx (TO), where the match will also serve as the closing point for the altitude training camp in the Val di Susa area which has been hosting the Juventus group since last Wednesday. For the technical staff led by Walter De Raffaele it will be a way to evaluate the effectiveness of the first rules given to the group, who at high altitude have divided their days between weights, athletic training and technical work on the parquet.
OPPONENT BBC Monthey-Chablais is based in Monthey, a town of over 17 thousand inhabitants in the canton of Valais, very close to the border with the French Haute-Savoie region. Founded in 1966, in its palmares the yellow-green club includes the victory of 3 Swiss championships (the last one in 2017), 2 Swiss Cups and 2 League Cups. Very low average age for the team coached by the Greek Christianos Chougaz who also recently started training. Of the four American players on the roster, three are making their debut in Europe, with only Jared Kimbrough having already had a past in the Montenegrin league. Together with them, the Swedish-Maltese Michael Sjoberg completes a quintet of foreigners, while almost all of the national contingent present in Sauze are under 23.
